Lassitude Issue 03: Laughter is a zine that forges unexpected unions of ideas — fatigue and farce, sickness and humour, to bring a comedic touch to representations of tiredness.
Tiredness doesn’t quite cut it in the lexicons of illness and this a zine where chronic fatigue is unending to the point of absurdity — so laughter at this predicament acts as an antidote, a pill that can lighten the angst that can arise, laughter at the frustrations of the doctor-patient dynamic, scenarios where symptoms leap out unexpectedly, the bizarre cycles of being bed bound, living on crip time.
This issue presents self-referential humour, not seeking to offend but offer relief and escapism for those in the throws of fatigue. And to make those brimming with energy laugh too.
